Hunting and Fishing Day in Washington! ๐น๐ฃ
September 27, 2029
Governor Bob Ferguson has officially proclaimed Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, Hunting and Fishing Day in Washington!
Hunting and Fishing Day is a day to celebrate Washington’s sportsmen and women, and remember the social, cultural, economic, and ecological benefits of our hunting and angling traditions.
The official day might not be until tomorrow, but we’ve already been celebrating hunting and fishing across the state this September!
Thank you to everyone who joined WDFW and the Wenatchee Sportsmen’s Association to celebrate National Hunting and Fishing Day this month! It was a fantastic turnout with over 250 children and their families. The event took place at the North Central Washington Gun Club, where youth and families explored archery, rifle, and shotgun activities, learned about conservation, enjoyed free food, and took home great prizes.
Weโre especially grateful to the volunteers who made this event possible and helped inspire the next generation of hunters, anglers, and conservationists, and the donors/sponsors who provided everything from food to prizes. Your support keeps our youth programs strong.
