DESCRIPTION:Formal Opening Ceremony at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday\, September 4\, 2025 and free and open to the public to visit 24 hours per day until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday\, September 7\, 2025\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOn Veterans Day 1996\, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF) unveiled a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington\, D.C.\, designed to travel to communities throughout the United States. Since its dedication\, The Wall That Heals has been displayed at nearly 800 communities throughout the nation\, spreading the Memorial’s healing legacy to millions. \nBringing The Wall home to communities throughout our country allows the souls enshrined on the Memorial to exist once more among family and friends in the peace and comfort of familiar surroundings. The traveling exhibit provides thousands of veterans who have been unable to cope with the prospect of facing The Wall to find the strength and courage to do so within their own communities\, thus allowing the healing process to begin. \nThe Wall that Heals will be on display at Rotary Park in Ellensburg\, Washington September 4 through September 7\, 2025.

Hunting and Fishing Day is a day to celebrate Washington’s sportsmen and women\, and remember the social\, cultural\, economic\, and ecological benefits of our hunting and angling traditions.\n\n\nThe official day might not be until tomorrow\, but we’ve already been celebrating hunting and fishing across the state this September!\n\n\nThank you to everyone who joined WDFW and the Wenatchee Sportsmen’s Association to celebrate National Hunting and Fishing Day this month! It was a fantastic turnout with over 250 children and their families. The event took place at the North Central Washington Gun Club\, where youth and families explored archery\, rifle\, and shotgun activities\, learned about conservation\, enjoyed free food\, and took home great prizes.\n\n\nWe’re especially grateful to the volunteers who made this event possible and helped inspire the next generation of hunters\, anglers\, and conservationists\, and the donors/sponsors who provided everything from food to prizes.
